Biography

 

Painter Raymond Lefèvre, born in Brussels, undertook at an early age studies in both music and fine arts.

Further, always in his native Brussels, he took up musicology and, after his parents'death, he trained as a home decorator, also taking various courses at the Brussels academies.

He then travelled Europe for further studies, especially in Austria, France, Scotland, Holland and Greece and organised exhibitions mainly throughout Europe.

Raymond Lefèvre was awarded an impressive number of prizes and distinctions, such as (between others):

- Gold Medal, 2ème Salon des Seigneurs de l'Art, Palais des Papes, Avignon, France;

- Silver Medal, Fédération Nationale de la Culture Française, Paris;

- Second Prize, with Silver Palette, 13ème Salon International Parc Rocheteau "Connaissance de notre Europe",France;

- Goya Prize, Brussels Festival....
