Does Gazing into the cosmos stir your spirit and start your heart beating faster?

If so, you will find yourself at one with the work of the Belgian artist Raymond Lefèvre.

Raymond is also inspired by the great composers of the classic and romantic periods.

By the time he was 14yrs old he was convinced that his aim in life was to be a world renowned orchestral conductor . However it did not take him long to realize this was not to be, that his greatest love was wielding a paint brush rather than a conductor’s baton to express himself completely. In other words his ongoing love of the great composers is obvious in his large compositions of these musicians and their lives.

Although basically a man who’s work in both oils and acrylic leans toward both portraiture and natural landscape, he is also much admired for his erotic and quite beautiful interpretation of the female form, although well known for this particular area we find him delving into fantasy.

Strangely enough, the last influence from the 20^th c. that is often remarked on is the style of Walt Disney and his brilliant use of whimsy which is seen in Raymond’s fascination with animation also.

Altogether we find in Raymond Lefèvre a well rounded hugely interesting
